くーわん（大）/ Rice Bowl Large

コド・モノ・コトのためにデザインしたシリーズです。
片手にお茶碗、もう片方の手で箸を持ち、良い姿勢で食べる姿は、日本の伝統文化の優雅さを示すさりげない日常の一コマです。このデザインには、食習慣を通して受け継がれてきた伝統を大切にし、子供たちにも自然に受け継いでほしいという思いが込められています。

Eating with a good posture holding a rice bowl in one hand, using chopsticks with the other is a subtle daily scene that shows the grace of traditional Japanese culture.
The design reflects our thought to cherish traditions taught through meal habits and passed through generations, hoping the same will naturally be passed to children.

家族で長く使えるように3つのサイズ、下に回した指先が触れる部分を少しだけ削り細いみぞを付けています。子どもに持ち方を教える時に指先の位置の目安となり、滑り止めにもなります。
製作は石川県小松市にある東製陶所さんです。九谷焼の産地で生地の製作から仕上げまで、ひとつひとつ手作業でていねいにつくられています。

With three sizes, a family can use these bowls for a long time. A slight groove is carved into the base where fingertips touch, which becomes a guide for children to tell how to hold a bowl while preventing the bowl from slipping as well.
The bowls are made by Higashi Pottery situated in Komatsu, Ishikawa prefecture, which is famous for Kutani-ware. Each is carefully hand-produced from the material to the finish.
